THE EVENT

The circuit
The Moto Grand Prix of Catalunya is hosted by the Circuit de Catalunya, located approximately 25 km north of the famous city of Barcelona in Catalonia, Spain. The circuit is a testing hotspot for motorsport teams, mainly because of its centralised European location and temperate climate. The circuit also plays host to a variety of other motorsports events throughout the year, including Formula 1 and Sports Car racing.

The Circuit de Catalunya justifiably deserves its reputation as the best run circuit in MotoGP. It has it all - a great track, superb facilities and possibly the best viewing experience of the season. The 4.7km notorious bumpy circuit offers an exciting mix of curves, elevation changes, and long straights, making it a demanding challenge for engineers and drivers alike. The fantastic long straight along the main grandstands makes for one of the most famous start/finish lines in all of MotoGP racing.

Race tickets
We have included a race ticket choice of Main, A, B, C or H grandstands in our tour package, but subject to availability we can offer you any other grandstand of preference.

The Main grandstand offers great start/finish and podium views and is covered, which can be a blessing in the Catalonia sun. Grandstand A is located on the exit of Turn 1 which is a critical acceleration point - however you may see more action from grandstands B and C located on the great north loop. Grandstand H offers possibly the best general viewing, looking up to the north loop and down into the final corner. Finally the infield grandstand M is both covered and a good base for further wandering. You may also upgrade to grandstand F for the notorious Turn 1 race opening action.

Hotel accommodation
For the 2012 MotoGP of Catalunya we can offer you an exciting travel package featuring a superior 4 star beach hotel, located in Santa Suzanna on the Costa Brava. Santa Suzanna is a very popular Mediterranean resort town, featuring a beautiful beach promenade with various restaurants, bars and shops available along this popular walkway.

The hotel rooms are air conditioned, well furbished, each with a private balcony, satellite TV, telephone and mini-bar - other hotel amenities include a lovely buffet restaurant, bar, night club, games room as well as a massive pool complete with hydro-massage facilities.

The hotel is located only a 45 minute coach drive from the Catalunya circuit and a 55 minute train trip from Barcelona –a great choice for the 2012 MotoGP of Catalunya.

Tour services
Our ground staff will take care of you from the moment you arrive in Barcelona - we will collect you from the airport and take your to the hotel, where you will spend 3 nights inclusive of breakfast. On the Friday evening we have a great opening party featuring drinks, dinner, video highlights from last year, as well as our very special guest speaker to help you understand more of what goes on in world of MotoGP.

Saturday and Sunday we go to the Catalunya circuit and back by coach and of course our guides are on hand throughout the weekend to ensure that everything runs smoothly.
